As part of the brand new “INSEP campus of excellence”, theESSEC throw a new multidisciplinary Bachelor's degree for high-level athletes, HEPTA, (Multidisciplinary Advanced Studies for Top Athletes) in partnership with CentraleSupélec and Sciences Po.
In September 2024, this Bachelor's degree will welcome its first students to the brand new Campus of Excellence located atNational Institute of Sport, Expertise and Performance (INSEP) This excellence program, announced by the President of the Republic during his presentation of Olympic and Paralympic wishes to INSEP, will offer high-level athletes (SHN) the unprecedented opportunity to benefit from a balance between the demands of sporting competition and high-level studies.
The launch of this Bachelor's degree is fully in line with the work carried out over several months by the relevant ministries, at the instigation of Ministers Amélie Oudéa-Castéra and Sylvie Retailleau, to enable high-level athletes to combine a genuine dual project of academic and sporting excellence.
A unique multidisciplinary program
This program is aimed at high-level athletes with a secondary education who wish to continue their athletic development and acquire solid training to prepare for their future at their own pace. Students can submit their applications according to the application schedule, available on the program page. They will be trained to understand the major technological, societal, environmental, and economic challenges facing organizations thanks to the academic excellence of each school in management, engineering sciences, and human and social sciences.
This diploma can be validated in 3 to 6 years, depending on the pace chosen by the athletes. It will be supervised by the Ministry of Higher Education and Research and Evaluation Commission for Management Training and Diplomas (CEFDG) and will confer a bachelor's degree. Once graduated, SHNs will be able to specialize by pursuing Master's level studies or embark on a professional career by occupying project or mission manager positions capable of responding to societal and digital challenges.
Distance learning, face-to-face learning and educational support
To meet the needs of SHNs, HEPTA's courses will be organized, depending on the student's choice, up to 80% online and up to 35% in person. To maximize student success, asynchronous online courses will be accompanied by four levels of educational support: webinars with professors, educational forums with dedicated coaches, individual sessions with tutors, and cohort monitoring by the community manager.
