  • OpenClassrooms, the European leader in EdTech, is launching a qualifying course in partnership with CentraleSupélec, 100% online and delivered in 6 months to become a data scientist.

    What is a Data Scientist?

Data scientists are senior managers responsible for managing and analyzing "big data." These specialists in numbers, statistics, and computer programs process a company's data to extract information that can help it make decisions.

    Highly sought-after, specialized profiles

Highly sought-after talents in business, data scientists are particularly rare and sought-after profiles on the job market today. So-called big data technologies are generating a considerable market, estimated at more than $187 billion within two years.

These volumes of data related to information exchanges must be processed and exploited strategically to better meet customer needs. In just a few years, the expertise of data scientists has become strategic for companies. However, candidates are scarce because the limited training programs are insufficient to generate enough experts.

For Pierre Dubuc, co-founder of OpenClassrooms "The data scientist profile is crucial for businesses. This new diploma we offer with CentraleSupélec aims to democratize access to this training. We are proud to collaborate in a privileged manner with an internationally recognized institution like CentraleSupélec. We already collaborate with various companies and consulting firms, supporting them in their search and recruitment of data scientists."

For Nikos Paragios, school teacher "CentraleSupélec aims to become a leader in digital professions. With this in mind, we have launched the first engineering program with a specialization in data science, the first "Master of Sciences" in data science and business with Essec Business School, as well as being a partner of the best Master's program. 2 research (MVA) in statistical learning at the University of Paris-Saclay and we wish to supplement our offer with high-quality online training."

For Guillemette Breysse, head of academic partnerships at CentraleSupélec: “ OpenClassrooms is revolutionizing the MOOC model by offering a new, highly effective online teaching model with personalized support and content delivery through hands-on projects. This partnership of excellence aims to meet the strong demand for big data careers, the digital transformation needs of businesses, and continuing education needs.

This brand new diploma program is the first step in a comprehensive offering that OpenClassrooms and its partners are developing in the field of data science. At the end of February, a second diploma program will be launched with CentraleSupélec to train for the profession of Data Architect in six months.
