Doctoral schools

Our mission is to train in and through research, and thus prepare doctoral students for careers in research and development, in both the public and private sectors.

CentraleSupélec provides its doctoral students with high-level scientific training and, through its links with businesses, guarantees their professional integration. Thus, in addition to their research project, doctoral students are invited to take additional courses designed to strengthen or complement their scientific knowledge and prepare for their professional future.

Doctoral training is part of a professionalization approach, providing its doctoral students with all the skills necessary for a successful professional career in the fields of innovation, research, and development. CentraleSupélec contributes to the provision of training for professional integration by offering cross-disciplinary training programs, shared within doctoral colleges.

International joint supervision

In order to promote the mobility of doctoral students and develop international scientific cooperation, a doctoral student can carry out their thesis jointly supervised between two establishments, one in France and the other abroad.
Joint supervision is carried out either on the basis of a framework agreement signed between the two establishments and an implementing agreement, or on the basis of an individual agreement.

In order to recognize the European dimension of a doctoral project, the University of Paris-Saclay issues a “European Doctorate” label to the doctoral student with mobility experience in Europe of at least three months as well as other criteria.
