CentraleSupélec Foundation

A foundation serving the school and its students

The CentraleSupélec Foundation's mission is to support the School by providing it with all the resources it needs to stay ahead of the curve and train engineers who will meet the scientific and technical challenges of a constantly and rapidly changing world.

The CentraleSupélec Foundation brings together the support of graduates, parents, friends and partner companies of the School to initiate and support its development projects in all its flagship activities:

  • Teaching
  • Research
  • Scholarships and student support
  • Entrepreneurship
  • Housing and campus life

To this end, the CentraleSupélec Foundation sets up dedicated funds allowing the School to mobilize its training, research and entrepreneurship forces on specific and cross-disciplinary issues, such as, for example, Health, Artificial Intelligence or the Energy Transition.

A strong impact on the School's major projects and the daily lives of students

For every need of the School, thanks to donors, the Foundation is there to:

  • support low-income students through a grant or loan guarantee to study in the best possible conditions,
  • contribute to educational innovations,
  • support research chairs and finance cutting-edge equipment for laboratories,
  • encourage the creation of startups through scholarships for student entrepreneurs,
  • support student associations through grants
  • support the implementation of cross-functional and multidisciplinary programs.

2023 projects

Thanks to donors, in 2023, the CentraleSupélec Foundation brought numerous projects to fruition, all for the benefit of the School and its students:

  • A major player in the real estate development of CentraleSupélec, the Foundation acquired the “IKOM” building in 2023, the future Parisian campus whose construction marks a new stage in the School’s evolution.

  • At the heart of the Foundation's historical mission, student support saw an unprecedented increase in 2023 with the launch of the Center for Diversity and Inclusion scholarships, further strengthening its commitment to equal opportunities.

  • Created at the end of 2022 thanks to the exceptional commitment of Stéphane Bancel (ECP 95), the Center for Diversity and Inclusion has been implementing numerous actions since 2023 to broaden and diversify the student pool, by opening it up to profiles still insufficiently represented at the School and by developing the attractiveness of scientific studies for secondary school students.

  • With the ambition of graduating twice as many engineering talents by 2032, CentraleSupélec is committed to developing new, high-level international scientific programs. To this end, the Foundation's support is a real catalyst for these creations.

  • A major and multidimensional supporter of the 21st CentraleSupélec entrepreneurial ecosystem, the Foundation has further strengthened its contribution to the success of startups incubated and accelerated at the School in 2023, thanks to the commitment of all its donors.

  • With 18 laboratories and research teams mobilizing more than a thousand researchers, teacher-researchers and doctoral students, the CentraleSupélec Research Center can count on the Foundation's increasing support each year to innovate in the service of the ecological transition, health and our industrial and digital sovereignty.
