Disability at CentraleSupélec
A committed school
CentraleSupélec pursues a proactive policy in support of people with disabilities. This approach, supported by the Disability Master Plan, concerns both students and staff. The School is committed to creating a work, training, and living environment that is accessible, inclusive, and respectful of each individual's unique needs.

- Train and raise awareness among the CentraleSupélec community.
- Promote employment and professional development.
- Strengthen accessibility (buildings, resources, digital tools).
- Integrating disability into research and innovation.
- Develop institutional, associative and economic partnerships.
Disability and studies
Welcoming students with disabilities
The Disability Mission is aimed at all students with disabilities, regardless of their course of study and regardless of the disability, whether long-term or temporary: motor, visual, auditory, dyslexia, dys-…, ADHD, cognitive or psychological disorders, autism spectrum disorders, disabling illnesses, other disorders, etc.
The Disability Mission supports students in their studies, participation in student life, professional integration, etc.
The Disability Mission is coordinated by the Disability Officer who plays a mediation role, acting as both the point of contact for students with disabilities and the point of contact for the school management and other services to promote the best possible reception for students with disabilities.
A Disability Relay is the preferred contact on each campus of the School:
Disability relay, Saclay campus: Lionel HUSSON and Claude MEZIN WILKINSON handicap@centralesupelec.fr
Disability relay, Metz campus: Philippe MOROSINI philippe.morosini@centralesupelec.fr

Progress of studies and developments
In accordance with the law of 11 February 2005 on "equal rights and opportunities, participation and citizenship of people with disabilities" and the circular of 26 December 2006 on "the organisation of examinations and competitive examinations in school and higher education for candidates with disabilities", students with disabilities may benefit from study adjustments. These are not advantages, but rather compensation measures to ensure equal opportunities.
What procedure?
For students wishing to benefit from an accommodation, it is essential to contact the Disability Support Center on their campus. During the meeting with the student, a needs assessment is conducted, as well as a visit to the accommodations by a certified physician to provide recommendations for measures.
The process allows for the definition and implementation of a personalized support plan, which specifies study or exam adjustments.
Possible arrangements:
Study facilities
Depending on the disability, different adjustments can be considered. Educational aids can be human, material, or adaptive, for example:
- Adjustment of the duration of studies
- Schedule adjustments and authorization of absence (to take into account care, for example)
- Possibility of occasional loan of a laptop or specific equipment
- Assistance of a secretary for courses
- Adaptation of course materials, etc.
Exam accommodations
Depending on the disability situation, examination adjustments may include, for example, the following:
- An increase in composition time
- An adaptation of exam subjects
- A secretary for the tests who writes from dictation
- A separate room, with a small number of people
- The use of technical assistance, a laptop, etc.
