A look back at the Emergences day, designed to promote the projects of the School's researchers and doctoral students
The valorization unit of the Directorate of CentraleSupélec search It supports researchers and doctoral students in the commercialization of their work. The objective: to take part in the process of entering an applied market where their technology can be a "game changer." There are two avenues for commercialization: filing a patent and licensing it to an industrial partner, or creating a start-up with an entrepreneurial team built around the researcher.
A day entitled "Emergences" was organised on our Paris-Saclay campus on October 7, 2025. Bernard Yannou (first video below) describes the motivations and objectives of this event: to familiarize researchers with the vocabulary, tools and steps of valorization; to leave with an assessment of the valorization potential of the project; and to have a clear vision of the support mechanisms offered by the school.
Raphael Thévenot doctoral student at Paris-Saclay Mechanics Laboratory testifies to the experience he had during the day.
