CentraleSupélec was very proud to host an exceptional conference given by Karen Willcox within the framework of the 4th seminar of the 𝙋𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙨 -𝙎𝙖𝙘𝙡𝙖𝙮 𝙄𝙣𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙩𝙪𝙩𝙚 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙎𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙖 𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘿𝙞𝙜𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙡 𝙍𝙖𝙞𝙡𝙬𝙖𝙮 𝙄𝙣𝙛𝙧𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙘𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚𝙨 organized by the Paris-Saclay Mechanics Laboratory.
A world-renowned specialist in the field of digital twins, this American professor is the director of theOden Institute for Computational Engineering and Sciences, Associate Vice President of Research and Professor of Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics at theUniversity of Texas at Austin.
During this conference, Karen Willcox revisited the concept of 𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝘄𝗶𝗻She demonstrated that digital twins are not merely simple and complex, but go far beyond that. She provided an overview of future research perspectives, challenges, and opportunities in this field across numerous scientific disciplines.
