Launch of the Bachelor of Engineering - City University of Hong Kong joint degree
CentraleSupélec and City University of Hong Kong announce the launch of a joint Bachelor of Engineering program, the signing of which took place on November 27, 2025 in Hong Kong.
Ce Programs is aimed at students wishing to pursue an excellent education with a strong international dimension, based on a high level of requirements in the fields of science, engineering, innovation, entrepreneurship and multicultural learning.
This four-year Bachelor's degree allows students to study first two years in general engineering and then two years with a specialization, with the possibility of starting their studies either at CentraleSupélec, on the Paris-Saclay campus, or at CityUHK in Hong Kong.
This program is a direct response to the constant evolution of the engineering profession and the contexts in which engineers operate. Engineering education must evolve in parallel to adapt to this new reality. Non-traditional engineering, less strictly technical, broader in scope, and often associated with innovation or entrepreneurship, is becoming increasingly important.

Engineering problems and systems are becoming increasingly complex and interdisciplinary, as demonstrated by issues such as climate change and the recent pandemic, where engineering plays a crucial role alongside science, medicine, management, law, politics, and economics. Therefore, there is a real need to train engineers with both global and international knowledge.
For this joint program, students can start either at CityUHK or at CS.
The core curriculum taught in the first and second years will be the same at both institutions. Students will acquire a solid foundation in the following areas:
- Mathematical
- IT
- Fundamental physical sciences
In addition, they take supplementary courses in the following areas:
- Humanities and Social Sciences
- Innovation and entrepreneurship
- Commerce and management
- Arts and Humanities
Over the past two years, students choose a specialization based on their campus.
At CityUHK, the following majors are available:
- Aerospace Engineering
- Computer and Data Engineering
- Electronic and electrical engineering
- Information Engineering
- Innovation and Business Engineering
- Intelligent manufacturing engineering
- Materials Science and Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Nuclear engineering and risks
At CS, the initially available specializations are as follows:
- Bioengineering
- Data Science
- Electrical engineering
- Mechanical engineering (thermofluids)
