Marc Sciamanna elected to the Board of Stakeholders of Photonics 21
Marc Sciamanna, Professor at CentraleSupélec on the Metz campus, Holder of the Photonics Chair and Director of the Photonics Institute, has been elected to the Board of Stakeholders of Photonics21, the association in charge of promoting and developing European photonics.
The Photonics 21 Board of Stakeholders has a maximum of 100 members. For this election (November 2025), 36 candidates ran for a total of 23 seats.
This is the first time CentraleSupélec has joined the administration of this European structure, and it strengthens the strategic European position of the Photonics Institute, which brings together CentraleSupélec, its twelve founding members, and its affiliated members. The Photonics Institute will contribute to the working groups that define the European photonics strategy, and, with its partners, will be a driving force in strengthening our research infrastructure, our innovation capabilities, and our training programs.
