The return of Jasper, the CO2-detecting robot
Jasper, our friendly CO2 sensor, continues to attract attention on the various forums and social networks where it is featured. Here, we see it in action on the Paris-Saclay campus of CentraleSupélec.
Jasper assesses the quality of indoor air renewal by measuring the CO2 level in the space, which allows him to determine what color his belly should be: green, as seen here, indicates that everything is fine. Orange: vigilance is required. Red: action is required...
Jasper is a project carried out in 2020/21 by three students from the School who were presented with a simply stated need: to make a CO2 sensor for children and schools. The result is stunning, achieved with great creativity and admirably well designed and executed.
Jasper is part of the mediation activities carried out at the School around the renewal of indoor air. Jasper also retains international attention.
Congratulations to Guillaume Malle, Thomas Watteau et Chiara Widua for their superb achievement.
