Inauguration of the DataIA-Cluster
The DataIA-Cluster, a France 2030-certified center of excellence in artificial intelligence, was inaugurated on April 7, 2025, at CentraleSupélec. This event marks a new milestone for AI research at the University of Paris-Saclay.
Following the AI Summit
Paris-Saclay University welcomed, this Monday, April 7, 2025, in the premises of CentraleSupélec, the inauguration of the DataIA-Cluster, in the presence of numerous representatives from the academic, institutional and industrial world, as well as Ms. Clara Chappaz, Minister Delegate for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Technology.
Labeled as part of the plan France 2030 program, DataIA-Cluster is one of the nine centers of excellence in AI research and training selected to make France a world leader in the sector.
Bringing together 17 founding members whose CentraleSupelec et 46 industrial partners, the cluster is carried by theDATAIA Paris-Saclay Institute and its director, Frederic Pascal, with more than 800 researchers and 47 laboratories to respond to the major scientific, technological and societal challenges of artificial intelligence.
The inauguration was marked by:
- demonstrations of innovative projects took place at the Repaire (CroissantLLM, Learning Robots, Les Automatants)
- Speeches by institutional representatives, including Camille Galap (President of the University of Paris-Saclay), Romain Soubeyran (Director of CentraleSupélec) and Frédéric Pascal (Director of the DataIA Institute)
- The intervention of Clara Chappaz me on strategic challenges of AI for France
- Thematic sessions on the AI research, applications in health needs and financing dynamics.
In the current economic and geopolitical context, where the sovereignty is more than topical, CentraleSupélec is proud to actively contribute to this strategic cluster alongside partners academic and industrial of excellence. This project fully illustrates our commitment for an impactful, open and collaborative research, at the service of major scientific, economic and societal challenges.
