CentraleSupélec Strategy
CentraleSupélec is implementing an ambitious strategy structured around key priorities. This strategic framework sets out the institution's directions and commitments to address contemporary challenges.

CentraleSupélec, a school committed to a sustainable world
CentraleSupélec is a forward-looking engineering school, built on nearly two centuries of excellence and innovation. Born from two great French scientific traditions—the École Centrale des Arts et Manufactures, founded in 1829 to support the Industrial Revolution, and Supélec, created in 1894 to address the upheavals in electricity and telecommunications—it today embodies a school resolutely focused on the challenges of our time.
Here, we train engineers called upon to think big, act quickly, and combine scientific rigor with social commitment. Each year, nearly 1000 students join its campuses to build a more sustainable, more equitable, and more inventive world. Their backgrounds are diverse, their aspirations multiple. And it's this diversity that makes CentraleSupélec so strong.
Leaning against theParis-Saclay UniversityRanked among the best in the world, the school deploys a model unique in Europe, combining academic excellence, research power, and international openness. It cultivates a spirit of profound innovation, backed by technology, and always humanist. It believes in hybrid engineering: capable of crossing disciplines, of inventing new languages between science, industry, society and culture.
Faced with the emergencies of the century—climate, health, industrial, geopolitical—CentraleSupélec intends to exert influence and train more, and better. Its 2023-2032 strategic plan sets a clear course: to double the number of graduates, while reaffirming high standards and excellence. It is also a commitment: to make knowledge more accessible, pathways more diverse, and campuses more open.
CentraleSupélec is a school for those who want to understand the world and transform it. A school where we learn to learn, to undertake, and to cooperate.
A school that trains citizen-engineers, both builders and pathfinders.
Strategy 2023-2032
In 2023, the School opened a new phase of its development by adopting its Strategic plan for the next decade.
This ambitious plan aims to make CentraleSupélec the 1re School of Engineering in Europe, capable of training each year 4 graduates in all of its training courses, thus meeting the demand for engineering skills.
The School's strategy is structured around three priority axes, in perfect harmony with the major contemporary issues:
- Acceleration of ecological and energy transitions
- Improvement of the health needs and quality of life
- Preservation of sovereignties digital, industrial and territorial in the face of global upheavals.

This strategic plan is the result of a collective mobilization. For nearly two years, more than 3,000 people - students, staff, alumni, as well as economic and academic partners - contributed to its design, thus strengthening the commitment of the entire CentraleSupélec community.
This is at CentraleSupélec, today, to shape its future and that of the world by training scientists capable of responding to the challenges of today and tomorrow.
