  • Antoine O. Berthet received the Engineer's degree from Institut National des Télécommunications (INT, now Télécom SudParis) in September 1997, the master's degree in Signal Processing, Image Processing and Digital Communications from École Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications de Paris (ENST, now Télécom Paris) in September 1997, the PhD degree in Computer Science, Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Telecommunications Engineering from Université Paris VI Pierre et Marie Curie (UPMC, now Sorbonne Université) in December 2001, the PhD degree in Computer Science from ENST in December 2001, and the Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches (HDR) degree (accreditation to supervise research) from UPMC in November 2007.
  • From January 1998 to October 2000, he was with France Telecom Research and Development (now Orange Labs) as a research engineer and doctoral candidate. From October 2000 to October 2001, he joined Alcatel Space Industries (now Thalès Alenia Space) as a senior research engineer and worked on high data rate modem design for satellites. Since October 2001, he has been with the Department of Telecommunications at Supélec (now CentraleSupélec Paris-Saclay University) where he currently holds a position of Professor.
  • His research interests relate to information theory, error-correction coding theory, communication theory, and signal processing with the aim to improve the physical and access layers of satellite, cellular and vehicular networks. He has co-authored numerous scientific papers in international peer-reviewed journals and conferences in these areas and owns 23 patents. He is an IEEE Senior Member.
  • In parallel, since 2006, he has been studying the Middle Ages mainly in Western Europe. He received the master's degree in Medieval History from Université Paris IV Sorbonne (now Sorbonne Université) in September 2010.
