  • Organized by CentraleSupélec and AgroParisTech, with support from Paris-Saclay University, the LGPM, SayFood, and the CentraleSupélec Chair in Biotechnology, this edition was led by Patrick Perré, professor at CentraleSupélec and director of the Chair of Biotechnology, Chair of IDS 2026, Giana Almeida, associate professor of process engineering at AgroParisTech and researcher at SayFood, and Pedro E. D. Augusto, professor at CentraleSupélec and associate director of the Chair of Biotechnology, Co-chairs of the event.

Centered on the theme “Strategies for Reducing the Carbon Footprint of Drying in a Resource-Constrained World,” researchers, students, and industry representatives shared their work and explored new collaborations. More than 130 oral presentations and 120 posters marked the four-day event.
Discussions centered on four main areas: simulation and artificial intelligence, the use of intermittent energy sources, bio-based products, and new technologies, with the goal of contributing to processes that are not only more energy- and resource-efficient but also more flexible and adaptable.

The next International Drying Symposium will be held in 2028 in Changzhou, China.
