Résumé

Fabrice Popineau is Professor of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence at CentraleSupélec (Université Paris-Saclay) and researcher at the LISN laboratory (LAHDAK team). His research interests include artificial intelligence, machine learning, reasoning, and decision making; His earlier work (until 2020) addressed AI for education. Since 2020 he holds the LUSIS–CentraleSupélec research chair, with the LUSIS company as the industrial partner, focusing on AI applications in banking and global health. See https://chaire-lusis.centralesupelec.fr/ Within this chair, he proposes research projects to third-year CentraleSupélec students and has supervised over 60 students in recent years. He is the scientific reference and a contributor to the French translation of Artificial Intelligence: A Modern Approach (2nd, 3rd, and 4th editions). He has been appointed as an AI expert by AFNOR and ISO in the context of the JTC-1/SC42 subcommittee. He coordinates the first-year Algorithmics and Complexity course at CentraleSupélec, serving more than 800 engineering students annually.
